Cost Effective Decorating

I've gotten several emails on how to decorate inexpensively. And altho' there's a wide range to defining "inexpensive," I'll give some hints here.

First, you could talk or email with a designer/decorator about your project and set up a consultation time. This would be cheaper than actually hiring the designer to do the work. You'd essentially get a plan of attack on your project so you could follow through with the work on your own.

Or, you could peruse the deco sites (including HGTV's Designer Portfolio - great pix, and here, of course!) for ideas, colors and inspiration.

Let's hear your tips for budget decorating!

Blessings,
~~Lisa

I love to take things that just are looking old and ready
for the trash and paint them and make them new. trash to treasure decorating.

I love the idea of painting old items. I personally watch HGTV and Trading Spaces for unique ideas. I'm not always so great with some of the projects but some come out really cute. I'll be decorating my daughter's room this fall so I'd love to hear some suggestions.

i've been always planning to share my ideas, in terms of expertise, if someone allow me to do so. the great things i've done is doing some pots, which is not relevant to use. so i decided to renew with a power of attraction, towards the seekers.
