Question: I have a new coffee table, with a 38" round glass top. I would like to cover the glass, so I can serve drinks, appetizers, etc, on it for the holidays. Any suggestions on what to use as a covering? Thanks for your help. Sincerely, Cheryl Eisenberg Answer: Glass top tables are so versatile and a great backdrop to all your holiday decorating. There are several ways to "cover" it. Depending on your theme, I would suggest using scatters for a festive touch. These are small glass or plastic gems that add shine and glow to your table. For example: glitter and stars beads in bowls at differing heights ornaments in neat containers Candles and trays at various heights. Candles (on plates) under the table for additional glow. I would suggest using a soft fabric and draping it luxuriously through and around your elevated hors d'oeuvres trays. Use a complementary color to your theme. To simply throw a tablecloth over the table would waste the sparkle of the glass and create a possible trip hazzard (because it is a low table). Drinks and small plates can easily rest on the glass with no worrys about harming it. When the evening is over, simply Windex away any condensation rings. Let me know how it turns out. If you can take a picture, I'll add it here! Have fun and be safe. ---------- Blessings, ~~Lisa HGPgal
